Knife and armguard combo

A buddy of mine requested a knife a while back that could be carried in an armguard. He was going to send the knife off to a guy that specializes in these type guards, so I asked if I could give it a shot before he did. The knife is 1084 steel with leopard wood scales, and the armguard is deer rawhide over veggie tanned leather that I thinned way down.

Just wondering.....is the arm guard a "roping cuff" or an archery arm guard?
