I still have a ton of sanding to do but I wanted to do a dry run (no glue) test before I proceed. Thanks so much again for all the help! If I may, I would also like to say a word or two about tapered tangs (& finger guard) and making the scales match with a $64 HF grinder. If you haven't done it, you have got to try it! With any grinder... that doesn't really matter I think? I learned more while doing this knife than any other. This was a challenge for me. I loved every second of it. I think I'll be done with this one in prob 2 days.

I'm with you Kevin! I tried grinding bevels in on the new one I'm working on with my HF grinder. And my problem was stopping the grinding hot the tip a lot thinner than I wanted to!! The bevels came out decent though, a couple small problems but like you said I learned a ton! Of course shortly my new 2x72 will be here!!
