Drop point kephart. 5.5" Forged 1084 blade, flat ground and differentially hardened with a convex edge. This one has Bastogne walnut scales. Cuts like a razor but has beef in all the right places! Tru Oiling the scales now.

I've been treating it like a fifty cent call girl all morning. I'll end the day with a destructive test on it. I just figured you guys would like a pic before I break it....HA!

That is funny right there. Seems a shame to break it though.

This is a test blade, It was doomed from the beginning. I've been breaking forged blades all week! Looking for the perfect heat treat and this is the only way to know for sure. Proper procedure, attention to detail and break it to verify grain structure. I don't want to guess that my heat treat routine is giving me a good blade, I want to KNOW it is. Last one took a good deal to break with a differential heat treat. I'm not finishing any of these all the way out. Just a 600 grit to a sharp edge. This one I finished the handle as well for practice.
