Keeping White cord White??

I prepared my stitching groove. Layed out my stitches. Marked holes with an all. Drilled holes with a 5/32" drill bit. Applied fiebings pro saddle dye. Let it dry for 3 days. I used white braided cord. As you can see the stitching does NOT look white.
Please help me with some tips , or let me know where I went wrong.
Very outside stitch is with white cord.
