A local artist friend found out that i was making knives....he brought a handfull of old knives to me, as a gift....in the lot, there was a Kassnar lock back, an odd Turkish looking blade with a brass sheath....then there was a blade, it was a clip point, with the guard and a tang.....I never really did anything with them until this evening...I ran this knife over a belt to remove the corrosion.....one side said K bar and the other said USMC. This is just the blade, tang and guard.....is it worth anything to anyone?. Any thoughts on how to begin with a restoration?

It may have a collector's interest?

If its Korea or WWII age? I don't know the years and what really to look for other that if it has the USMC it may be a Issued one and not a civillian?

Poke around on the other knife sites and google looking for a Kabar collectors forum. The leather stack can br replaced.

Cool....will do...not really looking to sell or profit, i just would hate to know that it was going to waste in my shop......
