Jewelers saw recomendation

I have some work I have to do on a guard. I know some people use a jewelers saw to cut out small areas in blades and guards. I need to know what I should use. I have not had any experience using a jewelers saw before and truthfully don't see how such a small saw cuts through such thick metals but I know it is being done so if anyone has any experience can you poit me in the direction as to what I need.
 
I think craftsman makes some that are of decent quality, its the blades that really determine the quality of course. The blade will usually come in small packages that should specify what the cut through optimally. Never, ever, anywhere, anytime, use a dull blade! It gets incredibly hot ( it will turn itself blue) and requires a lot of work to cut.

These little blades are amazing to use. I've made a couple filagree guards and I don't think there's another tool that could do it. The diamond blades are pricey but well worth it, they let you cut in any direction you want without stopping to start another cut. I've cut up to 1/4" stainless and they breeze through nickel/silver and brass. The 144 blade kit is a bargain, expect to break a couple at the onset. Drill a hole and slide the blade through and keep it tight. I found it worked better for me on the pull stroke, teeth pointing towards the handle.

So I got to ask a stupid question!

What is the difference between a jewelers saw,

and a coping saw?

The reason I ask is I done carpentry work for years and have used a coping saw extensively when doing trim work.

Both links I gave are by the same company! The saws are almost identical in make-up.

I guess what I am asking could you use a jewelers saw blade in a coping saw frame?????

EDIT:
I went back and looked at the knew concepts site again and I am not sure you can the jewelers saw blades in a length to fit the frame of a coping saw ! Has anyone ever used a coping saw frame with a jewelers saw blade?? OK the more research I do on this it leads me to believe that a coping saw and a jewelers saw frame are pretty much alike but that they don't make a blade for jewelers saw that is the right length to fit on any of the length of frames that they make coping saws in!!!!!!

I would not recommend the Knew Concept's jeweler's saw. It is extremely hard and time consuming to load the blades. While it is extremely light and strong, it is hard to use for piercing work due to the time it takes to load and unload the blades.
