Just say'n hi. Just got signed up thought I'd introduce myself. I've been making knives for about 2 years and I'm hooked! I'm a farrier by trade so forging wasn't new to me, and living in the north woods, I have some time in the winter to make knives. My interests are mainly Damascus and hamons and things, though choppers are too cool for school. I've meet some great guys like Scott Rouch and Karl
Anderson among others that have been helpful, especially Karl. He's a stand up guy! Well see ya around

thanks guys
can you give me a place to start learning or a starting point. my idea was start with a kit knife or order some 1095 or 1080 steel and give it a try to see what happens.
