Well hows everyone holding up with this crazy stuff going on,I came home about a week ago from doing 4 weeks in Prudhoe and will have 4 weeks off then back for 4 weeks then hopefully back to my 2 week rotation.I have about 6 different knives in different stages of completion .I'm working on a small frame handle Bowie and use 1/16 locator pins and always use hardened pins . Normally I use worn out 1/16 drill bits for this and I'm out of old ones. Last year I bought a bunch of 1/16 stainless pin stock from the Boss and never thought to see if they would harden so I cut a inch off heated it up with a torch and quenched it and what do you know they hardened. And of coarse use a #52 drill bit with 1/16 pin stock ,I thought I would pass this on as with the way things are at the moment you sometimes have to make due with what's on hand or easily attainable. Hope everyone is hanging in there ! Best wishes from Alaska.
