Hole size for pins

Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to Epoxy my scales on. Is there a rule of thumb to go by as far as this size pin takes this size bit.
Thankx, Mike

I use the following:

1/16" pin = #52 drill bit

3/32" pin = #41 drill bit

1/8" pin = #30 drill bit

You have to remember/realize, a 1/8" pin will not fit into a 1/8" hole...because both are .125"......the hole must be at least a couple of thousandths larger than the pin(s).

Thank you Ed, I really appreciate you replying so fast . I heading down to pick up more bits so I can give this a try.

Thanks, Mike

Also - to add to Ed's sage advice, use a letter F bit for 1/4" thong hole tubing (or any other 1/4" fitting).

BTW Ed, If you use a big enough hammer.....
