Hi, I am a 70 year old retired millwright who is starting to learn knives. I have been married for 48 years, have 3 children and live out in the sticks in Washington state. I made a knife 30 years ago for a knife throwing event at the local muzzleloader range. One of my daughters entered it and won the ugliest knife contest at a Cutco competition.

Might I suggest joining the NWBA and plan on attending some of the events at the mentoring center in Longview (unless COVID flare-ups put a pause on in-person gatherings again). Plenty of members who are Knifemakers in the group.
