Hey Everyone,
After years of making knives, I finally found my way to this site. I started forging around 15, maybe 16... don't remember exactly at this point, because I needed to make myself some arrowheads. as I kept going with that, I started experimenting with knives, and eventually got hooked! I wish I had jumped on this forum a long time ago when I originally heard about it, since I got my first and current forge from Indian George when I was in Highschool, but better late than never!
Cant wait to learn from everyone on here and share what I can.

Thanks for all of the welcomes, i cant wait to get to know everyone here, if there are any questions about me, just ask!

Indian George, boy there is a name I haven't heard in a while!!! Welcome, everyone here are good Joes's. Sounds like you may have some to share as well! Indian George was one of the first knife makers that lent me advice back on another forum when I first got started!! Welcome to the forum!!

I like the combination of the leather and the wood. What kind of wood are you using?
The one with the leather had layers of bloodwood, wenge, and in think angelique. The one that iant finished yet is some black walnut, but my current favorite wood is Bolivian coffeewood.

Yeah, it sounds like he was a great resource... is he ever around here anymore? Would be nice to thank him again for helping out with giving me that forge all those years ago.

I'll share anything I can, I mean most of you probably know better than me on a lot of things, but I'm sure theres something i have learned in my experimenting over the years that could be helpful

I may be mistaken but, I think Indian George died of cancer, a few years back!!
