Hello KDs, my name is Mike. My Grandfather gave me my first knife when I was 8 (an Old Timer Middleman). The first knife I bought myself was a Parker Leopard, when I was 12. I carried that knife everyday until I was married. I carried other knives with it, that I picked up along the way. Cases, Queens, Bucks, even an Eye Brand. I was 22 when I began working in Corrections. That's when I began collecting "Tactical" knives. Nothing expensive, ie. more than $100.00. In 2006, I went to my first Blade Show. My wife would tell you that that's when I lost my mind. Since then, I've had to adjust what I think is expensive. I've also drug my daughters into knife collecting. They've both made their own knives and have been in Blade Magazine. I guess the knife nut doesn't fall far from the tree.
