Heat Colored Ti

A customer ordered a knife with timascus on one side of the frame and I thought that was a good opportunity to learn how to color ti with a torch. It was a good learning experience and I liked the look of it so I did a little coloring on a titanium frame slipjoint as well. Here's a couple photos...

Phil that Ti heat coloring is really beautiful- is it tricky to do?

Thanks Ausbrooks! It's not too tricky...just have to go slow, keep the heat moving and watch for the colors. If you get impatient, you'll likely over shoot the color you're after.
