Yes, aperture sights work wonders for those of us with aging eyes. You only need, or want, the front sight to be in sharp focus but at our age we can lose the target completely with open sights. The rear aperture really helps your eye with depth of field so that you can get the front sight in focus and still see the target. You can also play with different sized aperture inserts. Typically a small aperture for good light conditions and a slightly larger one for overcast, dim days. Williams and Lyman (there are others, too) have a good assortment of aftermarket aperture sights that you can choose from. Check out Midway or Brownells. Good place to compare various options. Search "tang sight" or "aperture sight" and go get your Quigley Down Under on!
