Harden Tiny Knife

I did this fun and then it got serious! Lol. Any dangers to hardening this thing? It is either 01 or 1095. I would hate to ruin it when it will not really get used, but want it to be as complete as possible.

There is a rather big difference between 1095 and O-1. 1095 will be the easiest to HT as an after thought.

It was scrap, so I can’t be sure. Going to think 1095 in this case.

I built a tiny sheath for the tiny knife and now it hangs around my neck. I did harden it, but haven’t put a good edge on it yet. Sadly everyone likes this better than my other knives......

That knife made me smile. If you were a garden gnome - it would be an awesome blade.

That will HT just fine, looks about same size as a folder blade. BUT - NOT assembled with handle. Bare blade only for HT'ing.

Yes. I meant taken apart. I actually ended up hardening and tempering for the heck of it. Survived just fine. I even dabbed oil on it when I tempered and created a cool pattern on it that stands up to sanding. She is all epoxied up now.
