OK so i have heard of some kind of material and you can get a better grip once it wet.
Does anyone know of such material?

Kirinite is surprisingly grippy even when highly polished.

Kirinite does not get more grippy when wet but it doesn’t seem to get slippery when wet either which makes it suitable for gutting/skinning an animal or fish fillet knife.
