H. L. Morris knife

A little over a year ago my hunting buddy passed away. I was given one of his knives, which I cherish very much, not only because it was his but I also collect knives. It is marked H. L. Morris #226 2x2 on the hilt. It is 9 inches long and has a brass finger guard and deer antler hidden tang handle. I would like to find some more info about the maker and the knife. if anyone can provide some info I would appreciate it very much. My buddy lived in the Kansas City, Missouri area and I'm guessing he bought it locally but not positive. Thanks!

I just did a google search for H L Morris knives, and found a few things, their out there.

I tried a search but didn't find much. I thought I'd found his address and wrote a letter but it came back undelivered. I was hoping someone on here either knew or knew of him. Thanks anyway!

That knife was made by Harry Morris of Farmington, MO. He passed away in 2019

Sorry, I did not know him personally. I have seen a lot of his knives though and they are all really nice!
