Guess the wood

I had an accident with a wood I use regularly and it gave it a different look. Can you guess what it is and do you like it?

I thought it kinda looked like Zebrawood too Rudy. Actually its Osage Orange/Bois d' Arc. I had a piece on my bench and spilled some Majic Maple stain on it and it made the grain come out nicely. On these I sanded to 400X applied the stain and let dry then buffed with white rouge followed by no scratch pink. Do you guys prefer this look or the regular look of Osage?

Yes, I do. Hmm, Osage plays well with acid treatments...

This morning I was trying to place the color with the wood. The color has a geenish tint on my pc but the grain reminded me of zebra right away.

Yup looks like bocote a relitive of the zebra wood . Nice effect after light stain.
