KNIFE MAKER
I only make liner locking folders. I like using titanium for several reasons and have even gone to using it for back bars. I have always been not to pleased with the way it produces very fire making sparks and also how it can cover belts so they no longer want to cut at least on this material. Today I tried a different type belt in the same sizes I would have used in the ceramic, trizact and aluminum oxide. Those were silicon carbide belts, the same ones I have already recommended if working on mammoth tooth. What a change !!!! The sparks and hot edge of the titanium were almost non exsistant !!!They are available through Tru Grit ; other suppliers I haven't seen them. These belts also work much better on pearl than others. I hope they are good for you. Frank
