C Chall Well-Known Member Apr 20, 2010 #1 I am considering building the No Weld Grinder. What are the three grinder speeds used for? I currently use a 2 X 48 Craftsman that runs at about 3500 rpm. Is the slower speed used for hogging? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

G George Tichbourne Guest Apr 20, 2010 #2 I use high speed for initial grinds with rough belts and the slower speeds for finishing work on fine belts. You will find that heavy cutting requires more torque than you have at the lower speeds. George
