Good friends first time forging

Spent a hot day teaching a good friend " Jim Coffee" how to forge a knife. What a blast! He took to it like a duck to water. First one all hand forged, then he got ahold of my power hammer. It was all over but the shoutin then. Took to that like he had been doin it all his life. So watch out boys. Mr. Coffee has a new skillset!

Had a really good time and a good teacher (although not the prettiest teacher I have ever had..LOL). Thanks buddy. I got 2 knives forged out and 1 billet of san-mai damascus. Now lets hope I can get them finished. Man I may be hooked, Lets hope Mrs. Santa Clause brings me one of those hammers this year...LOL:biggrin:
