Glass platen

Tried the glass platen today, on one of the last ditch knives I'm working on. Great difference all seems smother and easier to use. Matter of fact got a little to aggressive with belt but should be able to fix it no problem!

I couldn't save the blank!! LOL!! Chalk one up as learning I'm sure they'll be more!!

Put it away in the reject drawer and one day you will be going through the drawer and a flash of inspiration will grab you and you will see another knife in the "ruined" blank. At the moment you are fixted on the design you started out to make.

100% ON THE NOSE!! I can't count the number of blades/knives in various states, that have laid around the shop for a long time (sometimes years), only to have that "flash of inspiration" strike out of the blue. Those often seem to be some of the best finished pieces I turn out.
