Getting wax off wood block?

I’m not sure if this is really an issue but for me it is. I am trying not to waste the wood. I sometimes get blocks of wood covered in the wax. I hate to clean it up all around with the table saw. Seems like a waste. Are there other ways? Sanding seems to clog up the sandpaper too quickly.

I just use a scraper. Simply a piece of flat , straight scrap metal with the long edges sharpened as a chisel grind.

Never tried this but could you heat it up with a propane torch and let it drip off? Then the remaining would just be a thin layer that wouldn't clog?

My Girlfriend get Yankee Candles all the time she likes to keep the glass jars they come in sometimes. She gets the wax out by freezing the jar overnight and it literally just pops out. Dont know if this would work for your scales or not. Worth a try though?

you're gonna put the scales in a glass jar? I don't think that's gonna help a whole lot. Course, whadda I know?
