I was asked to do something along the lines of a Randall Gambler. But, put my own twist on it. So, this is what I came up with...
The Blade is 4 3/4" long, by just under 3/16" thick, with a 4 1/4" cutting edge. It is from some of my 168 layer random pool pattern Damascus steel. The guard is 2 pieces of nickel silver sandwiched between 3 layers of bronze. The handle is fossil walrus ivory that I did a little carving on for some extra effect. OAL is 9". I haven't started a sheath for it yet, but will probably do something like a double lined leather boot sheath with a clip on the back.
