G10/Micarta Tubing

I've noticed a few makers use G10 or Micarta pins and tubing, which I've found online but in 18 foot sections. Do any of our suppliers carry it in shorter sections?

G10 is also sold under the name "Garolite" and "FR4 fiberglass".

You can also go to a hobby shop (RC airplane, car, etc) and find carbon fiber rod and tube for dirt cheap. They usually only have up to 3/16" x 3'. At $3-5 a rod, it's pretty good pricing in my opinion.

I did see Tracy sells micarta black linen rod in 12" sections.

Also try high performance kite websites for graphite and fiberglass rod & tubing.

Go to your local bow shop and get carbon arrow cutoffs. Most for free.

Smacking my forehead, the barrel at the archery range always has some busted shafts in it. I shoot uncut length myself, so it didn't even occur to me I guess.

Yeah total palm-face moment here too. I also shoot uncut length shafts, but I have 2 that I broke using golf balls dangling from strings as targets....

oh man ive been building to many bow strings,never thought of that and i got 12 laying right here! just cut and feathered a doz for someone.thanks mike ill be keeping those
