Fulltang Keyhole - Silly?

What are your thoughts on making a full tang knife with bolsters which are keyholed? I like forged integrals with keyholes and was thinking about imitating it, but I only do stock removal.

That sounds like a really cool and challenging idea. Has anyone done it before? Would you approach it like segmented handle scales?

I've seen people do it and yeah, would approach it like segmented scales, but just from a knife philosophy standpoint I was wondering whether people would think it cheeky to do. The linked knife by Taylor looks good, and what I was thinking for a fulltang.

I think it would be an interesting use of handle materials and making the fit and finish work would definitely be challenging.

Those keyhole bolster/scales have always impressed me with the looks, and amount of skill required to do them. I've looked at the idea, but never tried it. Good luck and be sure to post results when you do try it. Perhaps even a build thread?
