I woke up on the couch last night around midnight and lounged around watching tv for a bit. Then the I hit the shop around 0330 with a plate of W2, my Pocket-Muk pattern and my custom Jeff Pearce carbide scribe. A couple of hours later I had six blanks cut, drilled and profiled before breakfast. After getting the monsters fed and Lil’ Bit off to school, I grabbed some coffee and chow before going back after it. I managed to get all six ground before needing to take another break. Grabbed a snack and a nap before firing up the grill and getting some chicken smoking. I then got the blades thermocycled and clayed before dinner. After dinner it was time to fire up the forge again. In no time I had them heat treated, cleaned up (with a quick etch check) and into temper. Around 2300 I finally did some clean up grinding. I still have a bit of work at the grinder before heading to the bench for hand sanding. Hope to have all of these completed with the others on my bench to have available at the Arkansas Knife Show in a little over a week.
