Folding Knife Designs

I am new to knife making and getting ready to make my first fixed blade knife. I am a hobbyist CNC guy and love making any kind of precision parts with my CNC. I recently finished taking an online course offered by Compliance Edge Knifes. This is a fantastic course if you want to learn to machine blades with a CNC machine. While I am still learning to make fixed blade knives, I am already thinking of making a folding knife.

Do any of you know where I can find some good plans/designs for a folding knife?

CNC is a great hobby for sure. What CNC machine do you have? I've only got a desktop CNC which isn't very suitable for metal work. There are several folder knife plans around, but are only 2D - is that what you're looking for? A pattern to draw into 3D with your program? What 3D program do you use?

I don't know of any 3D plans that are suitable for generating gcode with for a folder.
 
Thanks for your thoughts, Ken. I have a Tormach 1500MX. I work in Fusion 360, so I can take a 2D sketch and create a 3D model from it. Since knife making is new to me, I would love to get hold of a plan (2d or 3d) that I know is a working plan. Then I can modify it in the future if needed. I found a few designs on GrabCad, but I don't know if they are proven plans. I may try 3d printing them to test them (see below). At the end of the day, I would really love to find a proven plan.
