I've been using G10 and Micarta for all my knives. I am working on another one with wood handle but havnt gotten to work on it much. This knife is for my Brother for Christmas. The scales are from a Bowling alley that I bought visiting him in Indiana. Figured it would be a little more special using it as he helped me get it when I was there. Sanded it to 1000g and this is the first coat of Tru-Oil On it. It should look good with the Stone/Acid washed blade under the tape.
 
That looks really nice! About four coats of tru-oil (sand between coats with OOOO steel wool) will look awesome on there. Great job!
