I like the advise about hanging the blade next to the grinder so you have something reminding you to be patient. It's very easy to wreck a knife quickly by being a bit impatient.

Very nice tactical blade! I think you'll find heat treating is one of the "easier" steps. Just need enough heat to get it to critical temp and plunge it in. with practice it'll become second nature. Can't get good edge retention without it. Keep it up your'e definitely on the right track.
 
First time grind? Wow, Im impressed! Im a newbie also, cant say my first grind looked anywhere near that good (I GUESS THATS WHY IT ENDED UP IN THE SCRAP CAN!)

I def appreciate you guys stan and morguns . I'm going to revisit this blade soon and try to rework it
