Hello all! I am curious how the rest of you guys get a mirror polish in your filework! I have tried several methods and they work but are very time consuming, (I expect it to be work) just hate banging my head against a wall!

For the round cuts I use a file of just slightly smaller diameter, wrap a bit of 220grit paper (once) around it, and use this to sand inside the cut... since the area is so small, this doesn't take long, although each cut has to be done seperately... After that 400grit, then 800grit, then a gentle buffing and it's done. Please note that buffing the spine of a knife can be dangerous, use caution and a light touch.
