File storage

I am in desperate need of a storage solution for my growing collection of files. I know better than to just throw them all in a drawer. Any suggestions and/or photos would be awesome

I don't have a photo right now but I have mine in a draw with a rubber matt in it. I place them a 1/2" or so apart and they don't move even if I slam the drawer. The rubber just holds them good

I also use the mag strips for my jewelers files. For my large files I made a rack out of plexiglass years ago.

The files being magnetic doesn’t cause any issues? I honestly don’t know. Just curious?

I tried the magnetic strips and they make the files magnetic and it drove me nuts.

I've used them at work for years, and haven't had issues. I actually haven't noticed them picking up magnetism. That said, I'm not doing knife work for my real job, so I suppose there may be some issues if they did become magnetic.

I only use the mag strips for my brass/wood/aluminum type files.
