Anyone ever try using Etsy to sell their knives?? If ya did how did it go and was it worth it??

I have had Etsy stores in the past, for jewelry . It was good in the beginning but really got over crowded and people are not nearly doing as well as they had. It is definitely worth a shot though. It is pretty reasonable unless you start using their marketing promotions to get your item advertised more. That gets pricey. There use to be a way to see total number of sales the sites have. That was helpful to see how others are doing. Maybe we still can, I just cannot find it. I think Etsy or a website in combination with social media to help direct people is always helpful to promote yourself. I never had. But I notice lately that it started looking like a another e-bay recently with more and more cheap Chinese crap on there.
