Dust Control

 Holy Moly! I just cut up about 1500 pounds of dymondwood and another 500 pounds of G10 and my shop is a disaster!!!! The saw has a dustbag and I keep emptying it. It helps, but what escapes is devastating! I think if I turn on one of the the kilns, the dust explosion will level the shop and the house!

Obviously, I have a few hours work to do with the shop vac - and I can blast a pile of it toward the door with the compressor that reaches the whole shop. I'm thinking I need a big honkin' exhaust fan that will blow this stuff not just out of the shop, but clear out into the neighbor's canola field. This is Canada, so seasonal closure of the system is needed, and I'm guessing some sort of fresh air intake is needed if the exhaust is to clear effectively. Any words of wisdom from the pound are appreciated.

Thanks for the link Mike. I do have a dust collector set up on the grinders, but not much use on the portable table saw. Laurence. For anything involving power tools, I wear my 3M 7800 full face mask with P100 filters. G-10 gets the P100 OV filters cause if it smells that bad, there's more than the dust to worry about.
