Here is my prototype Double detent folder.
Please tell me what you think...

I'll open her up tomorrow and show you the mechanics
 
Please do open it up - the double detent has me interested. Oh, and a good looking knife you've got there - good work.
 
Here's a pic with the scale removed.
The liners are identical, so you have a spring and detent ball on both sides. In the open position there is a hole on both sides of the blade, so that both balls seat in the blade to keep in open. In the closed position there is only 1 hole in the blade on the left side because you don't need so much assistance to keep the blade closed.
Hope this makes sense...

I like the look of the knife in general. It has clean, crisp lines with no frills, like it is meant to work and work well. Well done!
 
Beautiful use of materials, first off, then the idea of using a double detent, is pretty
much genius! Using the materials the way you did, with the colors red on black,
the contrast has always been classic for years!
