Dirk Two

OP, your dirk is really starting to look "Scottish" . That handle design is very, very good and sets off the blade perfectly.

Looking good opaul. Now all it needs is a Celtic knot on the handle!!

The butt/pommel might be the place. Perhaps on a piece of bone,...……… or not. Just a thinking our loud!!

The Celtic spiral knot. It has a three-sided knot which stands for the forces of nature—earth, water, and fire. The one continuous line stands for unity and oneness of spirit. This one continuous line is of Scottish origin, where it stands for love and fidelity in love, and so is known as the Celtic love knot.

Thanks. I’m hoping to inscribe a Celtic symbol on the butt of the brass pommel. Not sure yet what it will be.

opaul, Celtic knots or symbols can be as simple as the one on the bottom right corner or as ornate those on the upper tier!! Or something like the cross with the Celtic knot. The all have the same simple idea, that I mentioned before. It has a three-sided knot which stands for the forces of nature—earth, water, and fire.
