Demagnetize my blade

I made a knife and somehow it got magnetic I didn't notice until I had the handle on.any advise on demagnetizeimg?
 
If you don't want to go through the trouble of making/buying a degaussing unit, a simple, strong magnet will work. Just slide the entire spine of the blank along the magnet. If it doesn't work the first time, then you need to use the other side (polarity) of the magnet. It might take a couple of swipes. Just have something at hand to check to see if the blade is more, or less magnetic after each pass.
