Well since you ain't a'gonna let it die a quiet death, here it is with the pictures reconstructed (sorta).
These were two blocks of desert ironwood I ordered last week. I was considerably dissatisfied by their lack of figure for the price and was considering sending them back.
But, I needed the wood for scales for a couple of edc's, So I decided to use them anyway.
The upper one in the pic was as I expected, not much going on with it, but the other one was a pleasant surprise
Now, as for what grit belts...,

That second block is nice. I’ve found that DIW will shock me sometimes when it’s finished.
