Well, I broke the weld while trying to stretch out the billet. Back to the drawing board. May be too thick to start out by hand? Not sure why it broke.

Ah, man! I was wondering if you ever had any luck. You need to get this figured out soon, that way when it cools down some you can help me! It's just too dang hot here to mess with a forge.
