This piece was an embellishment from a pattern BillT sent me. Hollow ground on 12" wheel. Blade was cold blued before final finish with 2000 grit paper. I added a little more belly and length. The canarywood shows traces of red, green, yellow and almost a bronze color...gorgeous stuff. Thanks Bill.

(Apparently I missed the wax in the lanyard tube and spine)

It's better in person Randy.
I've had a 4'x 5x1" board for a few months. There's alot going on in that wood....bright yellow, green, red, bronze and some thin black lines. It's about medium hardwood, easy to work and shines up nice. I may get more and get it stabilized, but wanted to try it out first. These scales I put in polyurethane under vacuum for 4 days just to saturate them, let dry for weeks (forgot about them). The top coat is 3 coats of Birchwood gunstock finish.

Thanks,
Rudy
