I made a liner lock last week and used CTS-XHP for the first time.
I heat treated it to 61.5HRC.
I am really impressed with this steel. Grinds easy as butta.
I stone washed it but I put a wide edge on it and it polished to a flawless mirror so I'm guessing it will polish out well all the way. Just a guess.
It takes a very thin edge, cuts like the devil and holds that edge really well. I really can't get over how sharp it can be taken. I did not try to chip the edge with a brass rod test. I use my EDC pretty hard so I will find out about any chipping through use.
The downside is it's crazy expensive.
If anything changes as I carry this one and use it I'll let you know.
