CPM154 and Ringed Gidgee

This is one of my Cocaire slicers in CPM154. The handle is ringed gidgee and it features copper hardware.

That is a beautiful knife! Is ringed gidgee hard and dense like ebony? I love kitchen knives and that one is sweet looking.

Beautiful. That is a classically designed kitchen knife. Should be really handy. I can see you slicing up ham, turkey, roast beef, whatever gets in the way...

Thanks for the compliments. The Ringed Gidgee is a dense wood that likely doesn't need to be stabilized, but I send it in anyway. It works just like any other wood.
