I really like that CPM-D2 steel for the wicked edge it holds. At 4% Chromium content it's the least of semi-stainless steels I will use on my knives when a client says they want a carbon culinary knife..

it was a nightmare! especially after HT, but it's an amazing steel IMHO

That final wicked edge it will take and hold makes CPM-D2 worth the work in final finish.
