CPM D2 Heat treating

I'm about to heat treat a blade I just finished its the first time with cpm d2 is it the same as regular d2 ? Some have you that have used it what temper did you use ? On the recipe I have it says temper at 950 is that correct seems high.

Anthony, I did a few in CPM D2 a while ago and they came out better than I'd expected. I forget who but someone suggested THIS heat treatment for the it. As for tempering, I tempered at 400 as I've read that the higher temper causes a loss of toughness and corrosion resistance.

Working late hrs trying to get done I have a few just not as many as I would have liked.

I use the same heat-treat as regular D2 and the 400 temper also.
