CPM 154 Question

I did a heat treat on a blade of CPM 154 , 1950 , hold 50 min , plate quench . I seem to have spots that are harder then the rest of the blade , they are round in shape or semi round , is this an experience anyone else has had. I would include pix's but they don't photo well.
 
Thanks Fred. Hopefully Kevin C will be along to shed some light on it for you. Now for my completely uneducated ..guess. Could it have anything to do with the quench being to slow? I have seen some guys use compressed air to speed up the cooling of the quench plates. Best of luck with the next one Fred.
