This only lets me do one picture at a time I guess. First one here is 10” chef knife, laminated SS/52100, with copper hardware and spalted tamarind. I like the old Sabatuer knives, kind of went in that direction with it. I didn’t like the way a ferric chloride etch looked on it, so I used vinegar for the etch, and left it with a more subdued look. I like it, but it’s not real even, so I think I’ll try cleaning it off and maybe using a really diluted ferric on it.
I’ll throw this one in there “just because”. It’s still a WIP. Damasteel blade, copper bolster, and Bocote handle. Handle is just roughed out and finished to 150 grit. I did a Ferric chloride etch on the blade, and buffed it. I’m going to leave the blade “white”, I kinda like the low contrast look.
