Cork handle/floating fish knife

That is one hell of a set up! love that scabbard! You really have something there. I'm betting you could make a pretty penny on those if marketed properly.

I love beer batter dipped sunfish...
now i need to go fishing..
Tai, i'll be right down.

Tai,
I took BossDog to a little diner in Wisconsin the morning of the Badger Knife Show. It's called BlueGillies, and you can get 'gills with anything.
We had deep fried 'Gills and eggs and some trash can lid sized pancakes and wiped out the entire population of a small pond and part of a lake. They shoulda made us buy commercial fishing licenses just to eat there. The amount of syrup we used also decimated a medium sized maple grove.

Oh, by the way, They were good.

Steve

Yep!

The freshwater sunfish group is about as good as it gets, eat'n wise... I'll take them over salmon or trout any day.

They were fun to catch on fly gear and flies I tied, mostly foam poppers.

The one's in the pixs were all good, but I think I like the "Red Ears" best.

Mrs., and I are planning to head up north soon, with our crawdad traps,... talk about sweet meat and groovy gravy.

I'm impressed with your innovation in all aspects of this knife build. Congrats, it turned out really nice!

Yeah..."Groovy". I bet the tactical fish hippies, AKA "T-fippies", (like myself), will love it! It's a huge market! LOL

Calv,... that was the original idea, but thought this might be better, though a bit more bulky. This one is already so lightweight and user friendly, you hardly know your wearing it,... but I'll probably try one like that just as an option, just to make it shorter and more compact.

Tai,
I think you have found part of your Niche, Remember that good old boy's love to fish too! And so do most other real men! Nothing finer than eating god's bounty that you caught yourself! Makes it taste ten times better.
Very cool design and execution of the knife.
What steel did you use for it again?

Got to do a little light duty field testing on these “bait stealers” with it this week,… cut line, cut bait, used it to bleed and clean trout with among other chores. The scabbard worked great for preserving the surgical edge etc...

I think it's a keeper. :)
