Contact wheel set up

Planning on getting a 10 inch contact wheel soon and just wondering what the proper way to connect it to the tooling arm would be? Do I need a sleeve or bushing or just a bolt, washers and nuts?
Any thoughts ideas or help with any of this is appreciated.

I don’t have a sleeve on mine. Just bolts, washers and nuts. Works fine.

Depends on how the bearings are setup in the wheel. Do they have an internal sleeve already? By using locknuts the need for sleeves is reduced. A lot depends on how the tooling arm and axle are setup - threads? Shoulder on axle? Bare hole using nuts?

Chances are that the bearings will have a 1/2” inner diameter. You just run a 1/2” bolt through the bearings into a 1/2” tapped hole in the tooling arm. Make sure that the washer on the bolt doesn’t hit the outer race of the bearing because that needs to spin.

You will probably have a bushing or a spacer of some kind between the tool arm and the wheel to account for alignment.
