Congratulations Josh. Good luck on the rest of your journey and I'm looking forward to seeing your test knives.

My apologies for delayed response folks :D

Got back in yesterday afternoon from the trek to Michigan.

Thank You to everyone for the support and encouragement !!!!!!

In hindsight I couldn't think of a better way to get my performance test done than going all the way to my good friend Randy's house and getting it done surrounded by friends and under the supervision of Master Smith Kevin Cashen who was by coincidence also attending the hammer-in.

Kevin was of course fantastic in critiquing a couple other knives I took for that purpose. That said, he was extremely encouraging and ended with "See you in Atlanta" Worked my butt off getting those critique knives done in time and that was not wasted effort.

I may or may not be ready for Atlanta this coming year but it'll be only due to having enough time to make the knives. I feel pretty confident I'm up to the task of making 5 passing knives but I do have a couple other irons in the fire at the moment that may be profitable but also a drain on my time. Currently this other iron is my priority but we'll see how that washes out in the next month or two.

Appreciate everyone's comments. It feels great to have taken the first step on the road to JS
