Chute Question

I noticed on the GLWJ Chute Knife blanks that the tang is wider than the blade. I have seen Bob Loveless' chute knives and Steve Johnson's and I really like them but I don't understand how they are put together. Can anyone help?

The tang is just a hair bigger than the blade to act as a stop for the guard which is slid on over the blade and pinned.

Send me your address Devil Dog an I'll hook you up! but I want it back.

Rudy, thank you very much. I thought that that was the reason but I couldn't wrap my antique mind around it.

RUSTY, PM sent.
